Guitar Skills

Learn the principle skills of playing on acoustic, electric and classical guitars, including music theory and particular techniques on each. Play for fun or study towards grade exams.

  All aspects of acoustic guitar playing; including rhythme guitar playing, lead acoustic guitar and advanced finger-picking techniques such as travis-picking, modern techniques, alternative tunings and improvisation. Beginner to advanced level.

  Electric Guitar

  All aspects of playing, rhythm and lead guitar; all scales, chords and arpeggios, improvisation and ear training. Beginner to advanced level.

  Classical Guitar

  A variety of beginners to intermediate classical guitar pieces and techniques. Composers including Bach, Tarrega, Guiliani and others

  Bass Guitar

  Beginners to intermediate Bass guitar; learning the important principles and various styles of playing.

  Effects and Digital Music

  Using guitar pedals and effects for use in performance, including looping. Digital recording techniques and software advice.

• 

  Piano

  Beginners to intermediate level piano; classical, pop and other styles.

• 

  Music Theory

  Reading and writing scores and guitar tablature, explaining chords and scales. Song-writing and composition.

• 

  Grade Books & Exams

  Students can simply just learn their favourite songs or study towards grades (including Trinity College, RGT and Rockschool grades)
